Free Crochet Pattern

Poochie Baby has reached back into the archives to bring you this quick and easy pattern for crochet baby shoes. A blast from the past...

Introduction

I love to crochet. These baby shoes are so easy to make. I can usually make a set in under 20 minutes. You can embellish them several different ways........ with ribbon, buttons etc. Once you get used to making these shoes, the possibilities are endless. These shoes/booties can be made in sizes up to about 12 months.

I am the type of person who does not use patterns......... so, I decided that I should at least write patterns for my favorite designs. Perhaps someday, another person in my family will decide to pick up a crochet hook and carry on my work!

I hope you enjoy the end product!

Please note that this pattern may not be copied, resold or redistributed. You may sell the finished products.

Happy Hooking!

R5 - HDC in each stitch around. You will have a total of fifteen stitches. (See picture) Join and CH 2.

R6 - HDC in the first twelve stitches. (You should have three empty stitches left at the end.) CH 2 and turn.

R7 - HDC across the row for a total of twelve stitches. CH 2 and turn.

R8 - HDC across the row for a total of twelve stitches. CH 2 and turn.

R9 - HDC across the row for a total of twelve stitches. CH 2 and turn.

R10 - HDC across the row for a total of twelve stitches. Tie off the end. (See picture) MAKE SURE TO LEAVE A LONG END WHEN TYING OFF. YOU WILL NEED IT TO STITCH THE SHOE TOGETHER.

Sewing the shoe together:

With both ends together at the back of shoe, stitch the two parts together using the excess yarn left when tying off. When you reach the heel, tie off by making a knot.

Weave the excess yarn into the bottom of the shoe. Turn the shoe inside out (Which is actually right side out!)

Embellishments:

Choose whatever you wish to embellish the shoe. I like to sew on buttons or weave in ribbon.

After making two of these, you are done!!
